Avocado bites with tabasco-honey yoghurt dip

2 servings; 5 min preparation time; 15 min cooking time.
This is an easy and fast bite to make. It’s crunchy on the outside and soft and creamy on the inside. Serve it as a side dish or use it during a party with your friends.

The Parmesan crust gives a different dimension of the dish. The tabasco-honey yoghurt sauce balances the saltness perfectly. It’s a light and yummy side-dish that goes well with white wine or beer. You can prepare them in the oven or use the AyrFrier.

Ingredients

for the bites

  • 1 avocado
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp fresh cilantro, minced
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

for the sauce

  • 4 tbsp Greek yoghurt 10%
  • 1 tsp tabasco
  • 1 tsp honey

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 220 degrees C. Cover a baking tray with a sheet of baking paper.

Avocado bites: Peel, pit and slice the avocado. Don’t slice it too thin, because the pieces will break. Pour the lime juice on top.

Mix the breadcrumbs with the rest of the seasonings. Beat the egg. Dip the avocado pieces in the egg and then in the breadcrumbs mix. Lay them on the baking tray. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 min.

Sauce: Mix all ingredients together until smooth. Serve with the avocado bites. Enjoy!
